Promoteur de la minijupe et du pantalon pour les femmes, d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960 il cr\u00e9e une mode fonctionnelle, architectur\u00e9e, symbole de son \u00e9poque, et qui inspirera \u00e0 la suite de nombreux stylistes par ses formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques et l&#8217;omnipr\u00e9sence du blanc. Apr\u00e8s avoir exerc\u00e9 chez <strong>Balenciaga<\/strong> dans les ann\u00e9es 1950, il fonde sa maison en 1961. S&#8217;il rencontre le succ\u00e8s rapidement, ce n&#8217;est que r\u00e9ellement \u00e0 l&#8217;automne 1964 qu&#8217;il connait un retentissement mondial avec sa mode futuriste. Trop copi\u00e9, il marque alors une pause dans son activit\u00e9 puis reprend par la suite pour finalement cr\u00e9er plusieurs lignes de produits.
